Door lock actuator parts?
I did a search and found that the rod from the actuator to the lock mechanism is available but is all plastic. I suppose the plastic piece will outlive me, but is a metal cup only available, to replace the plastic part? Or just the cup in plastic like the original?
Does the auto heat actuator ball socket interchange with the door lock actuator? ![]() Maybe my Google-fu is weak.... ![]() ![]() ![]()

Same thing happened on my car 12 years ago. The plastic ones are the new version from the 964 that supersedes yours. So I've been using the plastic ones for 12 years.
No idea about your question, but the autoheat arm doesn't move abruptly like the door lock solenoid. If that whole end is plastic I'm thinking that the plastic threads would rip right out after a few actuations of the lock.

I ordered a used actuator rod and I’ll see how it looks in a few days. I also ordered the HVAC plastic cup as a back up.

The auto heat actuator ball socket does interchange. I used it on my 88'
