To operate the Semaphores just turn the dial in the middle of the dash left or right.

how cool are the matching glovebox areas? I guess with the stock acceleration you didn't need to worry about anything flying back towards the driver on launch...

I forget the years that a split window ran through ? From the inception thru 53 0r 54 ? anybody ? I do remember that I didn't see them very often if at all . I recall one I put a note on to see if they were interested in selling it in the Santa Monica area back in about 1974. It was white and they never called.
The oldest one I ever had ( it was a girlfriends ) was a 59 and I remember there was no gas gauge just a lever on the floor board you would flip over to reserve and we did a bunch. It had a small oval rear window but not split. ![]() |

Split Windows were built up until March 1953,
Oval windows were model year 1954-57 My 60 Beetle also had the reserve lever, 1st time I went to use it car died on the I-5 near downtown PDX, come to find out the reserve fuel tap was clogged ![]() |

tsuter- Your bug sounds like a beast. What have you done to it to get those hp and tq numbers. The most powerful production model that I know of is the Turbo S with 180hp.
