dragging Caliper?

1986 3.2, 125K Miles

Spent $3k on brake work about 1000 miles ago but have a recent problem with them.

When the car gets warm ( 10-20 miles) I get a "droning" sound from the front.

When I stop, the LF wheel is fairly warm, the RF is not.

My guess is a caliper binding the rotor.

Any opinions before I go back to my Indy shop?

Did your shop rebuild the calipers?

I would check wheel bearings if it drones.

What brake work was done and when was it done. 1,000 miles could be last year or 10 years ago and that would make a big difference in my opinion of what could be wrong.

If the soft lines weren't replaced as part of the brake work they could have gotten spongy and be causing the pads to not return properly. Especially if they could be original to the car. That was happening on my '84

If one rotor is hot, and the other one isn't as hot, then you are dragging. If the rotors are about the same temp, but the hub is hotter than the other side, then wheel bearing.

Paid $250 with the exchange.

Could have had a new caliper from Amazon for $50!
