Clutch was fine, until it wasn't.

So I've been chipping away at my 77 attempting to get it road-worthy after 14 years of dormancy. All the challenges, brakes, fuel system bushings, etc.. Made a few trips around the block to get it up to temp and figure what else I needs to be addressed. First few times it's smoking like we're performing mosquito abatement but by the fifth time no more blue oil clouds. However, by the fifth time the clutch is acting up. Tried adjusting the clutch and cable but I'm still less than the 25mm throw and I'm now hearing something funky. Me thinks throw-out bearing, but the car had another surprise.

Thank goodness no major damage done. Ordering some new flywheel bolts and a few other bits while I'm in there.

Good job you found it, could have been a lot worse, possibly someone went a bit over the top with the torque wrench!

That's why you don't reuse those things.

It's people who 1) reused those flywheel bolts without replacing them (they're one time used), 2) zap them in with impact wrenches.

By the way, that flywheel does not look great.
