AC Question for Jack Olsen

Jack,

What kind of low side pressure are you getting on your AC system? I have a system similar to yours and I can't seem to get the kind of vent temperatures that you get.

Earlier this summer I replaced all of my AC hoses with barrier hoses, removed my rear deck condenser (I will be installing a C2 deck lid) and installed the performance Air underbelly condenser and have a Sandun compressor.

I have not been getting the results I had hoped for. On an 85 degree day my vent temperatures have only been about 57 degrees. Jim Sims, who really knows his stuff, believes that the AC Tech may have overcharged the system with 134a. I can't seem to get the low side pressure below 50 psi.

What are your pressures? And, do you run the car for a time on the road before you measure the pressure? With the static condenser I thought It might be normal to have higher pressure

Well... this is a good question for Tyson Schmidt of TRE, who put the system in. Hopefully he'll jump in.

Guy: Do a search. I think Jim Sims posted some charts recently detailing high and low a/c pressures.
