Voltage Regulator - 86 930

My 930 is not charging.

I ordered a voltage regulator from pelican and it arrived very fast.

See the photo - there is a blue wire and a yellow wire on both the stock and the pelican replacement. The wires are routed to the opposite side of the VR.

Should I go with positioning or color here?

The answer is that it is color and not terminal position.

I verified this with my multi meter.

So there it is. If you buy the inexpensive voltage regulator from pelican, follow the color code of the wires, not the wire position when you install it.

I can confirm that the car now charges, and that the inexpensive voltage regulator both fits and works.
