AC hotrodding - added a condenser

Hi Guys,
It’s been awhile since I upgraded my AC and it has worked okay for the most part. Living in South Florida can be challenging on the best AC systems. I have the Rennaire package with the stock deck lid condenser, upgraded front condenser and their upgraded evaporator along with their pro cooler. Well last year the clutch went on the Sanden 507 compressor and my engine is currently out for a rebuild so I figured I would tackle the AC while it’s easy. I decided to add a 12x14 parallel flow condenser to the fender with a fan and replace the compressor with a new Sanden 507. I added about 10 feet of AC hose along with the new condenser so my question is how much oil do I add to the system? I drained 4 ounces out of the NEW compressor but only one ounce out of the old one. Obviously I will add one ounce back to the new compressor but how much should I add for the added components? Should I add the additional to the new hose leading to the new condenser?

Sorry, I can't help with your oil quantity question, but I am curious what condenser you are using for your your added fender well condenser?

1) Drop the hoses so they run downward, gravity, no hills or valleys.
AC liquid flush the hoses. Blow filtered shop air through all the hoses for several minutes for each one.

2) Remove the condensers (easier out of their mounting positions). AC liquid flush the them and blow filtered shop air through all for several minutes. Then put them outside in the hot sun for a day to bake.

3) Remove the evaporator, take off the TEV, and AC liquid flush the evaporator and then and blow filtered shop air through it for several minutes. Then put it outside in the hot sun for a day to bake.

4) Take the new compressor and remove the hose connection manifolds caps and if it has a drain plug remove it was well. Tilt it over a large clean container and so the ports and plug hole drain into the container. Take a socket and rotate the outer clutch hub about 12 revolutions on each direction leaving the comp resting on top of the container. Properly dispose of the oil.

5) Get a new drier.

6) The safe system oil capacity will be 5-6 oz, use Ester oil.
