Green Black White wire puzzle

Hi folks, slowly working through the electrics as we rebuild a dormant 76’ 912E. The loom to the flasher relay has a green/black/white wire spurred off it, with a female spade connector. I cannot find where this plugs in or connects to - presumably a male spade connection or wire somewhere behind the gauges.

Any ideas? Thanks

My opinion - someone just tapped into the blinkers and parking lights for some reason, yes not a factory connector. Do the turn signals and park lamps work properly and does that wire power with the circuit on or unless if the wire was broken and roughly mended to reroute the wire.

My 1973.5 has a black/green/white wire under the dash that just ends in a spade connector too, but it comes out of the loom and appears OE. The wiring diagram shows a black/green/white wire going between the emergency flasher switch and the flasher unit, and to the tach. I don't know what the loose one is for, maybe something not installed on US cars.

Thanks both. I don’t think it’s an add-on, given it’s coming out of the loom which looks original and it’s green/black/white as per the wiring diagram for 49a. I did wonder if it’s from an earlier loom (this is a 1976 my car). It may never have been connected to anything, I’ll check it for power and isolate it, but if we do find a home for it I’ll let you know.

The Gn/Bk/Wh wires for the '73 go from the flasher relay to the emergency flasher switch 33 and turn signal switch 30, and also the oil temp gauge 66 for the parking brake and brake pressure switch warning light.
