Fuchs value
What is the going rate for Fuchs rims these days? I have one pair of 6x16 Fuchs and 3 pair of 7x16 Fuchs. Eventually I would like to end up with a pair of 8x16s for the rear and move a pair of 7s up front. Any chance I could sell the 6s and 2 pair of 7s and end up with enough cash to buy a decent pair of 8s?

Call Wheel Enhancement. Maybe they'll do a trade with you.

Don't call Wheel Enhancement. They'll trade with you, but will rip you off royally.
They'll give you peanuts for your 6, 7's (tho' they're not worth much anyway), and will charge you over $700. each for the 8's. My guess is that with the sales of the 6's and 7's, you're pretty close to one set of 8's. Mike '86 coupe w/ 7+8's (approx $1000/all) |

ADD:
example: Wheel Enhancement was only willing to give me under $275 for 4 wheels in good condition (two 15x7 and two 15x8 Fuchs). They sold on ebay for over $500. My 7+8's were off ebay also. hint:ebay Mike |

Mike's right. $700+ for each 8's is a rip. Just be patient and look around.
I was searching for the last year and finally found a pair of 16x8 in great condition for $800. |

ROUGH generalization:
16x6's = $200/pr. 16x7's = $400/pr. 16x8's = $800/pr. So, even with the large margin-of-error with the above figures, I'd think you would have enough to find a nice set of 8's if you sell your 6's and 2 pairs of 7's. ![]() |

Hey,
When I was in Hershey, Wheel Enhancement were selling brand new, in the box OEM 16" 9's for $650 each. See if you can trade to those. That price is very reasonable for new 9's. regards,

Agree with the private route.
Wheel Enhancement are in business to make money which I certainly do not have a problem with, they are entitled to their profit. But that does not meen they need to get it from you. I agree with Erics pricing. There are Fuchs on ebay all the time and they appear to be a hot commodity. Get as much for the 6's and 7's as you can. You should be able to break even on the purchase of the 8's and may even come out a bit ahead. Scott

I've gone a near perfect, outstanding set of 16x7,9 with polished spokes, black recesses, and a clear powder coat (finished by Al Reed) that I'm looking to sell. The front 7s are wearing a nearly new set of Kumho Ecsta 712s, 225/50 16.
