Help identifying a part
My PO was in Miami and retrofitted AC and removed heat from my ‘84 911 Targa. I’m trying to retrofit heat an, in doing so, noticed I seem to be missing a bracket or support near my master cylinder. I’ve been searching and notice that in some example I don’t see it. So I’m not sure whether I need it, what it does, and a part number. Hoping someone can assist with some information. Part in question is circled below. Thanks in advance.

I think that’s the bracket to support the cruise control module.

NO!!! it's fare more important! It support the area because of the whiper mechnism/motor which is quite heavy and will have much more movement without.

Interestingly, that cowl panel support does not appear in the '87-'89 PET.
Although, I can confirm, my '87 definitely has it. |
