Looking for a Company Who Makes Leather Upholstery

Hi, looking for standard OEM Leather seat covers. I tried Lseat.com but their diagrams to choose the proper seat model really blows…

World Upholstery in Santa Paula CA is MIA. Website gone, answering machine over stuffed, no calls recorded for return call.

Katzkin website doesn’t show anything before 1983.

Local shops are iffy.

Trying to save a bucknor two and install cover myself. Maybe thats a small charge in the total.

Those are the seats. What is your bolster width?

Those are '80-84 Sport seats, I just bought the complete leather and foam sets for mine from Lakewell

The leather comes as a set for 2 seats
the foam you need to order 2 sets of '80-84 sport back and 2 sets of '80-84 sport base

each set for one seat back foam has 2 pieces and each base foam has 3 pieces

Classic 9

I went with Bud, at Classic 9.
He sourced some German, perforated leather in my interior color and shipped them to me. I had a local college student do the install.
Bud recommended, "French seams" for the sport seats, (also 84). stating that the original factory bead or welt could flex and break, causing a pinching problem.
The covers were $1700.
Sorry for the crappy cell phone pic.

I bought covers and foam from World Upholstery and had a local shop do the install. He had a very difficult time trying to get a good fit. There is some bunching near the shoulders of the seat.

The installer had another 911 in his shop and many other difficult looking interiors and his work looked top notch, so I believe that the World covers weren’t sized properly.

Here’s a picture, I may try and get a shop to remove them, resize and reinstall.

Well that sucks! Maybe it is good that I can’t contact World Upholstery.

Thanks for your comment.

I've used both Heritage Upholstery and Autobahn with great success.. Coincidently both principals are called Tony. Both great guys...knowledgeable, helpful and fair.
Hope this helps.

Used Classic 9 and was very impressed with the leather quality and workmanship.
I bought/installed the front bottoms and as you can see from the pic they perfectly matched the original seat backs. The bottoms are about 10 years old.

Would totally recommend them.

Regards,
JT

Thanks again all. I contacted them all, and waiting for a couple of replies. Another I emailed, is a place called Katzkin. A guy called and then spoke about the network of installers. I already tripped upon this local guy. He had a display with a leather cushion and boy did it look good.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Notice they do not do any actual work on your car.
Everything is though 'certified' installers of their 'kits'.

Autos International in San Diego does great work, especially if you're looking for authenticity.
I used them for complete interior 15 yrs. ago & again recently. And they answer phone calls.

+1 on Autos International. I have used them for several recovering projects.
