Using Black w/Silver Inner Heater Hose with Flapper Boxes
Hey all,
I understand from factory Flapper Box to Heat Exchanger hoses were pink/red.. but I have some extra black with silver inner hose that I used to swap some hose elsewhere in the heating system. Other than superiority of the aircraft silicon options and other aftermarket hoses, is there any strict benefits of going that direction? How about disadvantage of using this black hose to replace the* Originals?

The engine flexes relative to the body, that is why oe heat exchanger to heat control valve hose is flexible. I suspect the black aluminum hose will have a short life in that application. Rob

I went with the orange Aircraft Spruce as it flexes like all the other options, but is resistant to oil, water, cleans easily, etc. Since anything in the air has a very high manufacturing standard, I have always leaned that way if I can. But I am also a believer in use what's on hand!
