out of ideas. looking for help to remove the crank pulley

1979 sc with ac

I have been struggling getting the crank pulley out. It has a dealer installed AC pulley stacked on top. I thought I could use the m16 x 1.5 pulley removal bolt tool to push pulley out. But the bolt doesn't thread in at all. Is the tool for 964/993 only?

I Tried using a 3 jaw puller, didn't force anything. just to see if it can pull it out with minimum force. But it just didn't feel right at all.

Plying from the back also yields no result.

What am I missing here? All the search results suggest the pulley comes out easy with simple taps or ply from the back.

Take the allen bolts off and get the outer pulley off and see what's under it. Never seen that setup, and that ain't the crank nose .

Hi,
I haven't been working on this pulley on the last few days. Been building fuel lines for the tunnel

There isn't another bolt inside. the crank bolt is m14x1.5. it threads into the crank. some more photos

Use a longer bolt to give space and use a 3 jaw puller to break it free
