Purpose of hooks under cowl?
I'm replacing the cowl on my 71 and I can't figure out what these hooks under the cowl on the driver's side are for. Anybody know?

They are to hold the little square evaporative emissions box.
The location can be seen here is post #1. Item 1 of the drawing is the box. It it held in place by a square rubber band. https://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-technical-forum/481800-fuel-evaporation-emission-system-71-911t.html This thread can be helpful as well. https://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-technical-forum/745263-fuel-expansion-tank-bleeder-longhood.html

Harry nailed it. while you're in there, make sure the plastic box is in good shape. Mine had a crack in it that was causing strong fuel smell in the car.
