To me it was just another 914-6 until I got down to the "new speedometer cable" Should be a piece of cake to sell with that new addition.

$9,239.00.

Less in California and other states where it can't be smogged and registered.

Smog shouldn't be too big of a problem in another year since it will only need to be done once more. Soon it will be 30 years old and exempt. But, if you can't wait that long, then I guess Brian's right. Although, I was SUPER surprised at the price of a couple at the Pomona show on Sunday. I don't know much about 914-6's and these were probably not conversions, but there were two nice ones (like yours) for $16 and $17K. I almosed peed my pants! I would way rather buy a 911 for that kind of cash.

Chili,

I know they get big bucks and being a conversion it gets less but these cars are (as much as I hate to admit) much more fun to drive.

N11porsche I have one just like yours same color and all. I know a great car 4 seats are great when you have a family.

I should also mention the car has back dated chrome bumpers with new tops and new door panels. By the way this car will whip my fresh 3.0 liter in my 911.

Thanks for the imput

Ben

If you gonna sell it you gotta post some pictures?

A picture is worth a thousand words, so Ben you need to tell us a little more about your car or post a picture.

I agree, post some pictures.

But I disagree on the Value. If the car is in really nice condition, a 9 out of 10, the body is rust free and the pans are good, Excellent paint and the mechanicals are what you say, I'd peg it in the $14,000 region.

It sounds like an awesome car. My 914/6 with a 2.2S spec engine really screams at only 180hp. A well built 2.7 in the 914 means less than 10lbs per hp.

For those that may prefer others...It depends - do you want a 2+2 chick magnet, or a road hugging MF?

Thanks,

I will post pictures as soon as I figure out how to. I have not defintly made the decision to sell. Thats why I am here trying to figure out if others feel it is worth what I think I would need to get for it. Other wise I would just keep it. It is always a toss up. Its not a matter of "need to have the money" but rather does it make sense to try to keep 2 porsches running good with regular maintence and the major thing is storage.
