Seeking opinions - jack points missing?

Hi all,

Seeking opinions about how the below sills/rockers appear. The car in question is a 1970 911T UK car.

Should I be running away or putting some cash aside to perform proper repairs?

I’d have to think that there must have been pretty extensive corrosion in the sills that invaded the jack points. Being a UK car, this is not a big surprise. There are two issues following from this that would make me extremely cautious about this car:

1) If there was corrosion in the sills, you can pretty much expect corrosion elsewhere, so the rest of the car would need to be examined closely.

2) The jack support piece is easily available so if a repair was undertaken where the individual doing the job did not bother sourcing the part and properly welding it on, then I would be suspect of the quality of all other work that may have been done.

The only other thought was that this may have been deliberate in an effort to clean up the appearance… Not very likely though. If it were me, I’d keep looking – those jacking points add a lot of utility.

I thought they all had jack points there just like old VW's.

What does it look like when feeling around and looking up at the back of the rocker panel from under the car?
I'm guessing it's a bunch of fiberglass and bondo as in a cheap surface repair, and the floor pan looks "different" as in possibly glopped over with fiberglass, lots of bondo and undercoating at the left rear corner of the floorpan. From the undercoating and overspray looks like it may have been done some years ago.

I would stay away from that one.

See if you can poke a screwdriver through the sill where the jackpoint is supposed to be.

I looked a a car once that had a piece of cardboard with undercoating sprayed over it where the jackpoints were supposed to be (was a VW Beetle).

Unfortunately I'm in Sydney Australia so I can't personally inspect the car.

I have attached some additional pictures showing the floor pan underside. My instinct tells me to walk but I'm exploring every possibility.

Car is in UK and you're in AZ, unless you're going to be driving it in the UK, the transpo costs don't make sense. I'd keep looking.
