Project Elephant - No, I haven't forgotten
The project continues. I've been a bit lax about getting web updates posted, but the work has progressed albeit at a relaxed pace.
![]() Click for full story The body panels are back on the car, except for the bumpers. They are awaiting the orange paint. There has been some additional progress, and I expect to be posting several updates in the next week are so. It looks like a car again!

That's looking great, Chuck. Seeing the ducktail and hood on it would make me crazy to drive the thing.

Looks fantastic, Chuck! Are you going to keep it street registered?

Can't wait! BTW what is the "proper" way to remove the passenger side battery box? Sawzall and a sheetmetal "patch"? I think I want to do that.

Thanks for the update Chuck. Looks like great progress! I can't wait to see it with the bumpers in orange. I wish my project was that far along.

Adam Yes it will be street legal. I'm building it to POC HP class specs so nothing would be so radical that registration would be an issue. By the rules the car will have a full dash, headliner, glass windows etc. This is a street/track machine very much in the Rgruppe spirit, not a full-on race car.
