Difficulty in remove/replace Targa rear glass?
This is for the Targa guys. For those that have replaced their seal around the rear glass, how difficult is it to do this? I have replaced the from glass before and I found that a real pain.
I imagine the shape and the curvature of the rear glass compounds this difficulty. If anyone has any inputs, suggestions, or links, please let me know. Thanks. |

Elfer,
Try the search engine next time. There was just a very good post on this exact subject. Joe http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-technical-forum/114302-quick-targa-window-install-trick-post840758.html#post840758

Since Posches vary some, some Targas are a real bitcX and some are easier. Mine was a bad one. In fact it was one of the most stressful situation of my life, and that is a true statement. I went thru 3 companies that all ended up giving up before calling a couple of Porsche dealers in the Dallas area. Both recommended one guy who came out with a helper and spent 3 hours on it. He said that mine was harder than normal, but the worst one entailed him getting fed up one day and knocking off, then coming back at it again a second time.
Good Luck.
