Quick! Headlight screw size, type and shape??

Quick question: What size and type are the screws that holds the H4’s in? I’m talking about the only screw at the bottom of each light ring holding everything to the fender.

The PO and his idiot painter used some misc. screws to hold my lights in. Looks like sheet!

It looks like a 5MM bolt/screw would work, but I can’t find a PET diagram that tells me what size they are.

A picture would be nice so I can stop by the hardware store on the way home.

TIA,

I bought factory ones - they are a funny shape at the head end, and slightly funny at the, err, pointy end.

Pelican has them. $4.75 each. Sheesh.

They are, indeed, M5 Phillips head screws ... assuming that you don't have the trim rings that cover the adjustment screws!

I had a hunch the dang thing was SPECIAL!..well, since Pic******* and his brother did such a fine asssembly job after the paint job, my thread (on the fender) are bunged up. So I'll make the threads 6MM and get me some 6MM phillips screw. Thanks guys...I kinda knew I was going to go to the next larger thread, but I wanted to make sure the srew wasn't any more special. I remember a e-mail/thread on Rennlist where a guy lost the screw and the headlight!!

Thanks..I feel special myself now..no responses all afternoon, and when I do get responses, I get Cam, Warren and Ron!
