Question 911sc - elec. window stuck half-closed

Car has been stored for a few months, and we'd left the driver's window open to let air circulate in/out of the car while sitting in the garage.

Came to move the car, reconnected the battery - BUT the driver's window went up, almost closed fully . . then stopped, and won't go up or down!

THeres a 1/2" gap left.

Is there a way of manually winding up an electric window - as a stop gap measure while I try to find the source the problem.

Presume as a starting point take off door interior trim, lubricate window mechanism, any special way to do this?

and swap switch over from passenger side as that works?

Any other tips?

Thanks

Have you checked the fuses?

This happened to me last week, replaced the blown out fuse and now works ok.

Is the opposite window working , it's usually fuses or the relay I've found with these windows , although many here have had dodgy switches too .

Can you hear the motor at all? Mine has done the same before, but I could hear that the motor was straining. problem was one of the nylon wheels had jumped its track, knocked it back in and lubed and all was well.
