Trying to tow my 67, and was told a VW bug tow bar will work, and I was wondering if anyone had done this or knew for sure before I tried it. any help is appreciated! thanks

slater,

Rent/buy a car hauler. A flatbed works wonderfully. The tow bar or front wheel pull method is not very safe. Do a search on towing, many options are discussed.

When you go down gravity becomes your best friend unless your brakes or steering isn't working.

slater,

In that case, I know nothing about the old bug bars, but you can rent a small dolly that straps on the front wheels. They are not, IMHO, very reliable.
