Atlanta Pelican get together - 7/26
Okay wimps!
Lets line up something for July... I am going to suggest something on the 26th... a long way out but with this group it happens either tomorrow or next year. There is a place for chicken wings called, ... ready.... Wild Wings. I suggest a Saturday afternoon of sitting on the patio, drinking beer and/or soda, eating wings and ogling the hostesses. Believe me, the hostesses are worth ogling too. The wings come in a variety of potency from mild to so-bad-the-waitress-hates-to-serve-them. Personally I like the Thai flavour best. Wings is located on Satellite Blvd just North of Suwanee Dam Road. Not too far from Hwy 85. In the Wal-Mart plaza where I buy all my P-car parts. If you want to tie in some P-car activity then maybe we visit the Dyno shop first? Steve (Atlporsche) - where is your buddy Ken located again? And is the shop open on a Saturday? Anybody interested? And can someone volunteer to look after Blkbird while I am away? And tell that Mike Moore guy that I cannot acknowledge seeing him when he is driving that Dodge thingie. Horn beeps and I am thinking, sigh, another Porsche wanna-be.

Good for me - I can practically walk there. Dyno runs sounds like a great way to start the day. . .
BTW - guess I caught your attention with "The Appliance" (white Dodge Intrepid) was heading straight for your cab! And can't believe you were driving it in the rain near the mall

I'm in sounds like a plan. I still think we could do a marathon run to SC and back before noon. We could also stop by the Bahama Breeze for some spicy stuff.

Ya I was thinking of hitting the PCA AutoX on Sunday.
10:00 course walk at Turner Field, First car out at 11:00 I think. If I can get it together with Atl Porsche I will be sporting my new RS interior (at least the rear) and roll bar.

I plan to do AutoX if weather is favorable. Stormcrow has a good point - mountain drive with recovery at Wings - I could be interested if no go on the dyno.

Hello All!
Although I'm not a P-Car owner yet, I was wondering if I could come to lunch with you folks to learn from you? I'm looking to purchase an 80's Carrera in about a year when the lease on my current ride is up. Many Thanks! Mike Smith |

Yeah, if the wind is not blowing and I can stay off my sailboat, I would love to sit with you guys with my list of 10,000 questions on how to keep the old 73.5T sparkling...........I should follow Waynes lead and write a book, "1001 Projects I have Done Thus Far on My 911 and I Have the Body Scares to Prove it"!
What time? Regards Bob |

Atlmike,
Not a problem! Come join us and meet the variety of people and cars we all love. MM86911 will make you lose your lunch if you let him drive, and my dear Blkbird will give you a serious boost addiction. If we do a pre-lunch meet, be it mountains or dyno, you are welcome to join in with us for that as well.

Well it it wasnt for sale, but then again, my motto 'everything is for sale'. It came up in general conversation, but I have been offered (out of the blue) a very good price for it by a good friend. We will see if he comes through or not.
Oh and Ive already been looking at a couple 91-94 C2Turbos, a couple other 993s, and I still have a 72 911 that has been sitting for 9 years that is begging to be a track car.. Dont know which Ill go if he buys it.
