George, That custom one looks great. So you had to piece together two spoilers? Did you seam them in the middle or what? Did you glue them together? Thanks |
Actually, there were two seams. I had to put the extra piece (the extender) in the middle. It was pretty hard to get the seams to disappear. The best tool to cut them with is one of those blade cutters (didn't have one at the time, so I used a utility knife). I made sure the seams were located where mounting brackets were for support.
I experiemented with caulk and sealers for the seams as well. The best thing I found was a black acrylic latex caulk, but it wasn't completely black, kind of a very dark grey. If you can get the cuts just right, you won't need any caulk, filler or glue for the seams. |
