Where to buy 2.8 RSR Flares/Fenders?
Hey there, I'm looking to either buy some steel 2.8 RSR flares to weld on to stock fenders, or for some fenders and quarters with the 2.8 RSR flares already on them. Anyone have any suggestions on where to go for this? I've found a couple of sources in the UK, but I'm not sure where has the best quality product and also if there isn't something available in the US so I don't need to have them shipped all the way over here from there. Thanks!

So is this like a difficult question to answer? Have I not given enough info? Any advice would be appreciated either towards my question or towards the procurement of the flares. Thanks

Restoration design has them. Not cheap.
If you are dedicated to a faithful RSR replica then they are likely the ones to get (or EB motorsports). If you just want a "widebody" then turbo flares can be a good start and may be more pleasing to the eye. From you signature I don't see which car these would be for - new project?

Also, thank you for the info regarding restoration design, they were one of the places on my list, their price seems to be about the same as some other places I've found, which is kinda crazy for some stamped pieces of metal. Are these authentic RSR pieces from Porsche? That's the only way I could see those prices being justified.

Try pricing out the stamping dies for something that large. It is pretty shocking that anyone would bother for such a low volume part. Frankly it would make more sense to build a wood buck and beat them out by hand.

Yeah I've considered going that route, but I like the softer edge of the RSR flares as opposed to the turbo's.

I had not considered that, it's just crazy, I suppose there's some "porsche tax" involved here as well...

Some guys will take turbo flairs and reshape the lip. Unless you are looking for an exact copy of the original, that may be the way to go.
