Weight scales in The San Fernando Valley

Anyone know where I can get my car weighed in the San Fernando Valley?

I just need a quick confirmation of what it weighs.

Thanks.

I'm here in San Diego area and and all the dump sites have scales, look for a dump site and call, they are open early on weekends. I havn't used the one in town but the guy said to bring my car by and weigh it.

Thumbs up

Go to the Burbank recycling center. There is a scale at the entrance and exit with a digital sign to view your weight.

I dont know if it helps but if you go to the landfill in Simi Valley, they have a scale they weight your truck on everytime you go in there to dump.

I think this is the ticket. I'm close enough to Burbank. Isn't it on Burbank boulevard?

Thanks.

Dude, there's a place off of Roscoe right past Winnetka. If you want, I'll come with since I haven't weighed my car in a while. Give me a call tomorrow some time past 3:00. 818-620-1334

How accurate are those types of scales, compared to a Longacre or Intercomp type of corner-balance rig?

I'm just curious; obviously for most of our purposes getting a total car weight, +/- 25lbs or even 50lbs is close enough. Still - 25lbs accuracy is more than 99%.

Thanks, Amir. I already got it done in Burbank on Thursday.

But I'll take you up on the scales you go to soon (I can't do it on Friday - pressing issues, ya know). I'll call you.

I don't know how accurate they are. I had about ten pounds worth of laptop crap in my car that I left in and took out for two measurements, and there was no difference. My 155 pounds both in and out of the car registered, however, which, for what it's worth, was encouraging.

However, if I were racing the car in a class, I wouldn't trust the truck scales at all.
