How To...

Just bought the Safety Device's roll cage and start installing it today for next week's Laguna Seca event. However, I got stuck after I fit the whole cage in the car. The front legs are mounted on the sills/rockers. How do I access inside the sill and install the backing plates? And how do I remove the back seats ? They are not in the way of the cage, but can't use them anymore. It's nice to have them out. I've tried, but seems like the capet all inter-connected.
BTW, the cage is really nicely made. I'll post full my progress when it's done.
Thanks in advance.

On my Safety Devices Cage, those plates are welded in. As I remember, Cage was fitted in car, then marked holes and drilled out where bolts would stick through mounting plates. Then the plates were slipped under the cage, and tack welded in place. Then I removed cage, and had plates fully welded in. Most of the interior had to come out of the car. Doesn't the rear also mount to the sills?

The bottoms of the back seats are glued in place along with the carpet. The seat backs come out easily.

Thanks guys! Got it. I thought the mounting plates go underneath the car.
Thanks again.
