I have been running Steve's chips in my car for two years now and very happy with them. He knows the DME setup better than anyone I know and is one of the nicest guys there is to work with.

Well, Jeff...I'm kinda torn on this one...
I take my car to the track and probably *can't* afford a big bang...does it mean I don't go? No. It just means I expect to learn high speed car control and remind myself it's NOT a race.....I'm taking similar if not more chances on the open road with (mostly) unqualified drivers... vs some training / intelligence on the track doing DE's. As for the chip, I wouldn't put it in the same category.... as the 84 and 85's were programmed from the factory for US grade 87 fuel, and Steve can wake up the engine and still not get too aggressive by tuning for 91 octane ( I can get up to 94 here on the Right coast). So...I don't think I'm so much "on the edge" as you're probably making it out to be.... Just my thoughts... ![]() ---Wil

Just another testamonial for Steve W's chip. I put one in my stock 85 coupe last month and it made a Huge difference in performance....the seat of the pants variety. Along with the new Bilsteins JW installed, the chip has been the best addition to my car by far. MUCH zippier around town...no more "Carrera lag" and she pulls like hell! No predetonation. Best money Ive spent period. Thanks Steve.

Marc, Wil, Jeff, Joe, Dan, Matthew, everyone, thanks for all the feedback and support. I've got to say that this has been an amusing thread for me. Glad you guys are enjoying your chips. Because of the proprietary coding, and the customizing for each owner's configuration, you can all be assured that you will not find a better performing chip out there.
