Option codes and standard equipment
I'm a bit curious on what was standard equipment on 86 Cabriolets in the US (my car is a US car, even though I'm in Europe).
"C02" is all that is listed in option codes (which means cat), but it has power leather seats, cruise control, ac, Carrera tail (with front spoiler) and 16" wheels. Since the cat is the only thing that shows up in the option code list, is it then safe to assume that all other items on the car was standard equipment? To the best of my knowledge, the car has never been altered with. BTW - since this is an ex-US car, it would be interesting to do a carfax report (if records of a car that has left the country still exists, that is). I have no clue as how to do this from out-of-the-country. Anyone got ideas? ![]()

Where are you getting the options codes from? I know the F/R spoilers where not standard, so they must have been put on by a PO, or you have the wrong options codes. Double check that the same codes/VIN appears on all of the following: Sticker under front hood, sticker in owner's manual, and the dealer/window sticker (if you still have it). Also, since your car was originally a US car, and is post-1981 (database cutoff year), you can call PCNA @ 1-800-PORSCHE to verify. Just follow the prompt to the Customer Commitment Dept., give them the VIN, and they will tell you what options the car originally came with.
