Throttle linkage pops out
Every now and again on my 82 911 I’ll be driving along, hit a bump in the road and the top ball joint of the throttle linkage pops out (shaft pull rod to shaft lever) resulting in a dead throttle pedal. I tried to find the replacement part (C-110-077-00) here at Pelican, only to find it’s no longer available. Has any body else had this happen? Any suggests on how to fix this, if in fact this part is can not be found?
Scott

You mean the one on the bell crank? On my Carrera there is a very tiny hole in the ball, through which you can place a pin, which will hold it. Otherwise, maybe lube the ball real well, squeeze the socket with some vice grips and then press the ball back in there.

Mine's extremely loose as well - I can pop it off at the bellcrank with just my fingers. There has to be a replacement part somewhere. Call Pelican and talk to the guys; they might be able to advise a third-party supplier.
