Deconstructing a Carrera

So far I have removed the rear wiper and the cruse control vacuum servo in the engine compartment. I don't use either item, so, out they go!

Has anyone ever replaced the fancy servo controlled heater control module between the front seats with the simple levers?

Was thinking of doing that myself. I removed the automatic heating controls, looks as if all that is needed is to replace the handbrake lever with the one with the levers????....part #911 424 051 15......At least that's what I think.
