Does any other manufacturer make OEM rotors for 993 TTs?

I'm in search of Brembo 993 TT rotors, the ones with the "cross drilled" holes cast into them for a particular project car. The dealer wants an arm and a leg... I went to a local parts store today specializing in Porsches, vw and BMW parts. They said they could get them, but couldn't say for sure what brand. All they said was it's from the original equipment supplier. If I order those (not in stock of course) will they come in nice red brembo boxes with them holes? (should've asked about their special orders return policy...) Thanks in advance.

The difference between the official Porsche and secondary distribution channel rotors is generally cosmetic. Not to worry.

That is not the case w/ calipers however.

Be aware that there are 2 different 993tt rotors 1 piece and 2 piece, be sure that you order what you need.

The difference that I heard about OE vs OEM is that the anti-corrosion coating is better on the OE rotors.

Yes, the Porsche dealer channel generally sell rotors w/ zinc primed centers for corrosion resistance. You can DIY and save a lot of $. The zinc primer is readily available at an electrical supply house or from Wurth

REALLY? Which dealer is this? Here's what the only dealer in Hawaii wanted:

Front left - $222.65
Front right - $249.92
Rears - $158.62 each

Both the parts store and the dealer said they didn't know if they were one or two piece; the guy at the parts department said it looked like one piece according to the pictures on the computer.

Does it make a difference which year 993tt I tell them? I've been telling them '97.

993.351.045.10 (L) - $122.50
993.351.046.10 (R) - $122.50
This is the type with the removable hats. That was the price @ 7 months ago. I cant imagine thay went up that much since then.
You should use 78-89 930 rears so you can keep your E-Brake.
930.352.045.01, 930.352.046.01, - @$119.00 each.

rattlsnak, you must get very favorable pricing. My dealer charges more, than double that.

Really? Holy crapola...can i just buy 'em off you? I'll pay all shipping and a little somethin' extra for your work.

What does the 993TT use in the rear for parking brake? This actually isn't going on the 911 (omigod )... thanks!

Adam...simple....my 911, whether it be the one I have now or one I'll have in the future, will have Big Reds, not little blacks.

The project 911 has been put on hold until I can get rid of all cars except one. I also put the word out that if anyone knows a cheap shell/rolling chassis for sale or to throw away I'd be interested in it, as it'd be cheaper going that route.
