anyone ever supercharge a 993?

I am on the phone w/ a buddy of mine who just bought a 993 and will be putting a supercharger on it.

He seems to think it is a SIMPLE installation. Anyone know anything about doing this job?

I think Excellence did an article on a supercharged 993 in the past two years. Maybe somebody else can find the issue?

Geeze, wait til the 3.6 transplant crowd sees this one. Can you imagine Black Beauty II with an additional 100HP Ingo, you better get those tires replaced before you even think about it. Ryan....the ultimate sleeper SC. Just think about the possibilities....

Go to http://forums.rennlist.com

Search the 993 forum. There is a lot of info on SC'ing a 993.

It's scanned on the turboperformance website :

Do a search here, as well. I've thought about it, but I'm not convinced that it'd be safe/reliable enough. Certainly, you'd want to add an intercooler before any track use. It also adds weight to the rear.

Protomotive's aftermarket Turbo ended up looking more sensible to me. But I'm still in the early research phase.
