Here are a few shots from Cal Speedway this weekend. Great event. Tons of cars, and plenty of P-cars. It was great practacing with all the POC GT2 and GT3 cars. I even had a chance to out break a couple of them and I even passed a few in the Oval. What a thrill. (they were probablly just warming up though). But It still was fun. I was running 1:59. Finished 3rd in class 5th overall out of 57 cars. 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th place were only 2 tenths apart at the finish. It was a drag race to the checker.

Great shots! If I remember correctly, it was either you or #67 shown in one shot, that spun in I think turn 9? Not sure if that's the right # for that corner. They say it's 21 turns, so I lose track. Great action either way! I used to drive out to Palm Springs to see VARA racing. I'm excited that it's so close to home!

I hear they took the chicane down for the big races. A 1:59 is an awesome time for that track.

There is another orange 911 out there #76 not to be confused with #67. The #76 911 was spinnig all the time.

Yes they took the Chicane out after Friday Practice. So Saturday and Sunday no Chicane. WOW are you going fast when you go into the oval. I was taching almost 7,500 going into turn 1 and close to 8,000 coming off the oval to the hard breaking zone. I will post a link to a video from in my car later tonight.

Hey Mark. Here is another picture of the start of one of our races. Sure are alot of Porsches in the front of the 50+ car field . Nothing like being door to door with each of our dads around the oval at 130- 140 mph. I noticed you have a picture of that too . I just wish my car was running right. I guess I can't complain with my 2:03. Sure was fun even though I broke. I will never forget Fridays practice with all the GT3's and Vipers. I need to get that distributor rebuilder info from you . Here is another picture of when Jay Leno showed up with his monster.
This is now my favorite track.
