Is there any further interest in SCing? I see the last posting is from a while back. I have an '88 Sunroof coupe 3.2 with the SOK Whipple & small intercooler. Bought in 2008 w/the SC installed. 98,000 miles on the clock now. I'm the third owner from new. When I bought it, installed the smallest pulley for .9 bar of boost, and flogged it for 15,000 miles before a ring land broke. 6,000 shift light and rev limiter in place. I was warned about the possible higher boost issues from the second owner who bought and installed the kit in '09. I've had what I consider tons of reliable fun with gobs of instant torque on tap. Peeves Twin Turbos and Vettes. Always ran flawlessly until... It has now run for 35,000 miles/15 years boosted. A/C and cruise work as designed. Blower motor in left rear wheel well. Always less than 1 quart oil/1,000 miles, zero blow-by. Was born with the factory KP cast pistons, maybe why ring land broke, now stock 9.5 forged Mahles slugs and jugs, no machining. Also twin plugged the heads. Bottom end inspected and found within tolerance. Work hesitantly done personally by known factory trained Porsche specialist. It's back on the road since October '14. Will now run largest of 4 pulleys at 5lb boost after lots of back and forth debate, for now anyway, as the higher boost is intoxicating. Waiting for BEGI fuel pressure rebuild kit, 15 year old diaphragm failed, and need to weld one header tube crack on the B&B, and now wait for winter to come and go. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1416765110.jpg

Lots of interest still out there. This forum is just heavy on turbo charging. I have the SOK Paxton. Had it for 12years. Still lots of fun!

When I was shopping for an air cooled 911, I test drove this beast. It's an 87 Targa with I believe a Whipple super charger.

It was the fastest and LOUDEST car I have ever driven. I should have bought it but the decibels (and price) scared me away!

Now this is an Intercooler. No room for A/C and good riddance to the extra weight. Did need a new carbon fiber tail though.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1416792076.jpg

Nice car. Looks exactly like mine 86 Targa. Same supercharger setup and intercooler....
Change of priorities forces me to sell soon sadly. Have my kit up for sale along with all accessories needed. car returned to stock for the sale after having loads of fun for the last 8 years! Great power and even better with a new set of tires. I figure if I supercharged again I would go fuel injection and new engine management system so its easier to keep tuned. My two cents

PM me if you are interested in the kit?
