cowtown...YOU ARE THE MAN! Thanks for posting, especially the shot up by the fuel tank.

I'm after clarification on what the fitting adaptor is at the tank return -red arrow- (I can't seem to find the female-to-6AN piece you used there), and are you saying the banjo at the pump is 12x1.5? -green arrow-

Thanks huge for the pics, this gives me a great idea of what I'm up against. Thanks to John for his words of wisdom as well.

That adapter is a modified Earl's EAR-9894DBH, 6AN flare to 14x1.5 Female. It is a fuel injection piece that has (had) a long narrow protrusion with an o-ring on it. I bored out the adapter with a drill press, to match the ID of the other 6AN fittings, and got rid of the o-ring and long skinny part. I think I have a picture I can put up later of the before-and-after, if this doesn't make sense. (**EDIT**-I think I got confused here, the one I modified was the 14mm male piece. Female one was used as-is.) The Earl's site might also have a picture of the adapter. I'm going to do a pressure test this week some time, and will shout if something does not work as intended.

On my front pump, the outlet is 12x1.5. But this is a CIS car and you will want to measure your Carrera fittings. Also, I mounted the front pump using factory parts, but it may very well be oriented or placed differently from you car's pump.

Here's a portion of my Excel list that I used to order. Again, don't take it as gospel for a Carrera. Or another '75 911S, for that matter.

I would try to order everything from one place and save yourself a bundle on freight. My next day air tab during my own project was in excess of a developing nation's GDP.

try these guys: www.amstreetrod.com
