915 tranny questions, clutch cable arm
On the early 73 915 tranny there was a long arm that the cable pulled, on the 77 there is a short arm with a helper spring. Will the long arm from the 73 fit onto the 77 tranny

If it helps at all I have a long arm on an 86 915 with the standard cable barcket. One thing to be aware of is the straight arm is used for the cable that wraps around the arm and is secured by a nut half way down the arm itself. I found that this arm worked best with the cable holder facing up the way. unfortunately it hits the front of the tranny when the clutch is fully engaged. The answer to this is to grind the braket off. Alternatively turn the arm over.......I cant remember but I think that it does not fit as well this way up.
