How much did everyone pay for a 4 wheel align+ CB??

I am wondering about my local shop's pricing....

Could a few people write in and tell me what they paid for a full-on 4 wheel alignment + corner balance? Also, a few details, like if the rack needed spaced back up due to lowering and if it was really far outta whack, and maybe even what they set their numbers to. It would be helpful to see what others are doing and paying.

Thanks,
B

Am interested to see results - every P-shop I've contacted in the Bay Area wants $500.

that was around what I paid (450.00), which included lowering as well. This was at Auto Associates in Canton Connecticut. It seemed high to me, but I checked some other reputable places in the area, and they were around the same (18 months ago)

Ouch. Any idea why it costs so much? It's on my list of stuff that needs done, but I anticipated it would only be 1/2 that price.

Corner balancing can be very time consuming. A 4 wheel align only is much less work, and money, about $150-200.

It did take a good long time (around 4 hours). Including test drives, giving me different camber and caster options etc.

My friend had a 4 wheel alignment done to his 79 SC about 3 months ago by a reputable shop in San Diego, CA. He paid $200.00

$400 or so for both in MA. If your car pulls you need a CB.

I got a quote today from Roger Krause Racing in Castro Valley $246. They come highly recommended.

Call S-Car-Go in San Rafael. I was talking with them last week, and I think he said $200 for a corner balance. Plus they have a discount rate for people who track their cars!

If you go up there ask to see the 'money pit'. It is an engine dyno setup that you won't belive.

200 bones for alignment/cb around here. That is without re-indexing the T-bars. Though, a lot of people will do a bit more at the same time which tends to drive the cost up considerably. (set ride height, rack spacers installed, spin-balance wheels, turbo-tie rods, etc., etc.).
