Anyone done a 3.0 swap into a 72T MFI?

Hi there.

I'm looking for some wiring help with my engine swap. If you've done one, please let me know.

Thanks,

mto

I am nearing the completion of the installation of a 3.2 in a 72' chassis...I have a simplified wiring diagram posted in a link from this page: http://brentwoodrocketscience.com/r2/notes.htm

Hope it helps.

Here are my posts about the wiring help I need.

Need Wiring/Fuel/Oil Connection Help Part 1.

Need Wiring/Fuel/Oil Connection Help Part 2.

Jack, where did you get the plug/pin settings? Did you have to trace them from a wiring diagram? I've got the two separate plug/pin settings drawn, but I'm not sure what goes where. Your post helped immensely.

Thanks,

mto

I used a combination of the factory service manual wiring diagram for the pin locations for the 72' and a diagram for the 84' engine from a posting on this board. I found the latter by doing a search for "14 pin" in the tech BBS (as I recall)...

Good Luck,
Jack

Cam,
I didn't see your post...Thanks. The 3.2 and trans was installed in the chassis last weekend. I am moving the car from my Dad's garage in Gainesville, GA to Atlanta tomorrow so I can deal with the MSD components and the setting up of the PMO's at my home without distractions. It should be ready to start in a week or two. I'll post a short digital movie on the website documenting the startup. And yes, I'll share the details of the timing computer performance once it's dialed in and a few miles are logged on the odometer.
Jack
