Brake Pad Swaps after DE weekends Y/N

I just swapped out my track brake pads last night on my 72S clone T. Front rotors are ATE Slotted and rears are Zimmerman cross-drilled. The track pads are Hawk Blues and my street pads are MetalMasters. This was the first time I have used track pads at the track on all axles (check my post last year about having track pads on the fronts only!). You bet the Hawks ate into the rotors. Well today on the street my 911 was braking badly and locking up the fronts. Yes I bled the brakes last night. So my question is this. Is it viable to be swapping pads on a multiple use 911 when you are using aggressive pads such as Hawk Blues? I really do not want to use Hawks on the street or swap out rotors as well per every DE event. Any suggestions out there? The Hawks did work great at the track.

A stupid question, maybe: did you keep track of which pads went on which calipers (including inside pad or outside pad)? I keep them in labeled zip-lock bags, so they're always removed from and returned to the same location.

It's a huge pain in the butt to have to keep swapping them, but race pads are pricey.

Jack yes I do keep track of pad location by marking them with a sharpie. I think that the Hawks just mill down the rotors so dramatically that seating the street pads back again is the source of the braking problem.

I use Pagid Oranges, without any problems switching with street pads.
