Part of the "BLAST" was a "Blast-Zone" . . . Mt Saint Helens, that is.

You can just make out the road.

Maxnine11 didn't have his SC with him for the drive.
He brought this C2S instead.
I think we can forgive him after all, he did make it all the way from LA ! (eh-em, Tyson!)

Glenn, Great picts. You, Mark, & Doug did a great job of putting the event together, Sus and I were just sorry we couldn't make it to Hood River. Again thanks for the effort, it was a great time.

I drove out to Mt St Helens in a rental once just the week of the anniversary a couple of years ago. It was really amazing, the drive was cool too. Pontiac Grand Am brakes aren't up to the job.

The scenery is amazing, and the remnants after what 15 or 20 years are so prominent. It's an amazing experience. I bet it's even better in a 911.

Thanks for the complements. The difficult part here is taking a 2.7Mb file and reducing it down to the .1Mb restriction.
. . the art suffers. . .no one understands me.

I'll keep the photos coming, but there are a lot, and I have a real job.

I'll let Eric Coffey post his (he took some great shots) and I hope to see some of the results from the other periscoping cameras.

720 pixels wide, 72 ppi, and just about any jpeg compression setting.

As a fellow artist, I feel your pain. But jpeg allows you to post a picture that's pretty big.

Yeah, Jack . ."BIG" (and still looking descent) is dependent on the color variation of/in the shot, and how much color variation you want to retain.

Awesome pics island! Thanks for sharing. Also looks like a healthy turnout of fine machinery indeed. I'd make good use of the batch command in photoshop to web prep those pics. You know it can process and create webpages complete w/ html too. Then just link to that.

I agree with Tad. Get a webpage up with big images and go from there. Color fidelity is an issue but it will be regardless.

Is someone going to give us a rundown on what we missed?

Stay tuned here for an announcement of the posting of more photos on the official Round-Up '03 website. And thanks to Glenn and Eric for their efforts.

On behalf of the organizers of the SCWDP Rainforest Round-Up '03, I'd like to thank all the participants for making it a huge success.
A special thanks to Steve Weiner (Rennsport Systems) and Pelican Parts for their support.

If you missed this years event, please mark your calendar now, for next years Round-Up, July 24th 2004.
