![]() ![]() I know this may seem like a dumb question, but... I am upgrading my 914-6 conversion to five lug/911 hubs/brakes & struts. I have a really good and nearly new set of tires size 195/65 R 15. I've just gotten a set of 15X7 cookie cutter rims for the project. Is it possible to put the 195s on 7" rims? Thanks! Daniel |

Yes, 195's will work on 7" rims. I'm running 195/65 on 7" Fuchs. But will they fit a 914 without rubbing? That's a huge question...I have a friend running deep 6's on a 914-6, and things are really tight in the rear. I'd think 7's may be just too much on the outside...

Thanks! That helps a lot. We just had a 914 meet in NW Ohio a couple of weeks ago (about 35 914s in various configurations), and there were a couple of cars with 15X7 Fuchs (newer type). It is a snug fit, but it is possible with a little rolling of the rear fenders. I'm assuming that the cookie cutters will work, but... we'll see.
