Need pictures of black 911 with orange Carrera script. I would like to change the red script on my car to orange and would like to see what it looks like.
Thanks Eric

I kinda like the "look" of the correct shade of orange on black. it may be the deadliest paint job out there.. and the correct shade of orange to me means announcing the arrival in a low key but powerful way. it's definately a nice package on an ocean racer for appearance. but black causes to much heat stress on fiberglass.. but if I was searching for the correct shade of orange on black I'd look at boats.. and look for the orange pinstripes.
artists have good taste... Ron

Jack, Thanks for the picture.
Ron, I agree it must be the the righ shade of orange. I was thinking Tangerine orange. Max, Here is a picture of my car. What do you guy's think about the trim. It was originally black, which has daded to silver. I was going reanodize black. But now I'm thinking chrome!?! ![]()

I think Gulf Orange would be period correct, low key, and understated ... just perfect, IMHO!

Would chrome trim be correct for a 1975 911 Carrera. I thought all 1974 and 1975 carrera's came with black trim.
Warren, I agree with the gulf orange. I wonder who sells them...

BUT if I had a black car it would be black powder coated. IMO, it would actually be a "cleaner" look. less contrast = more understated, IMO.. the extreme max contrast would be a small bathroom with 1in tiles on the floor and walls alternating between black and white.. kinda induced dizziness. whatever........Ron

no I think that's pumpkin
color in digital photos can be very misleading. my car looked tomato red in the owner's pictures, but he insisted it was orange. turned out he was right. I have to agree the car nominated by nostatic is in fact da bomb, regardless of what the color is called |

yeah, orange is pretty variable in photos. I've seen tangerine cars that looked downright red, and other ones that looked orange. I've also seen photos of guards red cars that looked orange. Too many variables...
And yes, I think the above car is a rather large bomb. The good kind though. |
