how I managed to find and buy my new Tl in a week
Well…..guys I’m still not sure how this happend this fast either, last week
(it had been four weeks since the accident ) I’m finally starting to feel normal and I’m starting to think, I had better start doing my home work before I start talking to state farm. So I come up here and start looking through hundreds of adds on the internet, luxery car network has nine turbo-looks for sale right now but, they start at 29,900 and go up to 54.900 and I know it’s going to be a fight just to get half of what I put into my car. ( and after adding up all the receipts I was shocked to see what I had spent ) after going through ten pages of Carrars on cars .com I see this add, 1987 PORSCHE 911, COUPE, WIDE BODY, IMMAC COND PAINT, LAGOON GREEN MET, 108K MI, ALL PWR, ALARM, VERY RARE MODEL, WAS TURN TABLE VEHICLE AT 1987 LA AUTO SHOW, MUST SELL, $25,000 I can tell by the phone number it’s not to far away so I call and the seller starts telling me all the history, he tells me that this is a loaded car ( and it has lots of extras ) but when I ask him who did the paint, he tells me the name of the shop and it’s the same shop that painted my 67S two and a half years ago and I saw this car in the shop being done and I remember thinking I’d like to have this car. So I ask when can I see the car ? he says he’s on his way home and I can come over any time, so I tell him I’m not moving so fast right now but I’ll be there in an hour or so ( his house was only ten minutes away ) at this point I have not driven anywhere since the accident ( and I didn’t want to tell my wife that I was looking at a car this soon ) so I got dressed and drove myself over there ( I can only drive an automatic at this point ) so now I’m standing (with the help of my crutches ) looking at this car thinking, G50 new paint lots of extras, the car seems to be in overall nice shape but the interior needs a lot of work and the airs not working and I know from experience after over spending on my 84 that this car needs about seven to eight grand to make it the perfect car. I also tell the seller I want a PPI , so now I’ve got to get on the stick and get the money from state farm fast or I could lose this deal, well without making this story longer than it already is the car checked out and I got the money yesterday and the deal is done and the car is in my garage and I can’t even drive it till my hip heels. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1062036135.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1062036181.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1062036220.jpg these three stage paint jobs seem to change colors in different light. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1062036728.jpg I'm srue going to miss that car. |
