Pelican Parts Need Help - Testimonials about Pelican...

Hi everyone. We're redesiging the DriveWerks website (and Pelican soon), and one thing that I would like to feature on the home page are testimonials (that will rotate in and out every 10 minutes, etc.). I know that a bunch of you have commented positively in the past (http://forums.pelicanparts.com/search.php?action=showresults&searchid=398411&sortby=lastpost&sortorder=descending), but I was wondering if anyone would like to volunteer some testimonials here (making it easier and quicker to compile). Here is an example of one:

"I was going to be doing my first DE this coming Wednesday. I knew if I didn’t bleed my brakes this weekend, it might not get done. I called Darren (thanks dude!) at DriveWerks late yesterday and ordered a Motive Power Bleeder and a liter of Superblue Brake Fluid. The smiling UPS man was at my door at 8:15 this morning. How cool is that?!! - Tom W., Middleton, WI."

Thanks in advance!

-Wayne

I'll start.

I recently moved, and waited until the last minute to find a place to do a Tech inspection on my SC prior to a DE. When I finally found someone, they wouldn't have time to bleed the brakes, but offered to do the tech inspection anyway. With only 3 days to spare, I called Pelican to make sure that you had the Motive Power Bleeder in stock, and to make sure it could be shipped that day. I had the bleeder the day before the DE, and had tim eto do the brake bleed myself. Thanks for saving me! - Ali K., Swampscott, MA

true story. I was't just copying the one above.

Top notch books and parts. Also much easier to deal with than the manufacturer -

Do we get a gift certificate if you use our testimonial? Just curious; worth a try.

The quality of the parts, customer service and information provided by Pelican Parts makes it worthwhile for me to buy from them, even though the parts have to be delivered to Spain.

Don't get me started.

"Pelican is much more than the best parts source. It's also more than the best automotive technical resource. It's the best Internet community I expect to ever see."

Or this:

"I've tried all the usual Internet parts sources, and have had problems with each order, except from one source. Pelican Parts is head and shoulders above the rest. Friendly, competent and fast. And there's even a bonus. They know their products and carry only the most advanced, redesigned/improved parts and assemblies."

Overseas buyers beware. Your order will arrive quicker than you expect. I still cannot believe I placed an order on a Wednesday night in Hong Kong and the parts were at my door on Monday afternoon. Holy Cow!

With a comprehensive online catalog and knowledgeable salespeople, Pelican Parts can provide every part down to individual nuts and washers, and the Pelican Parts BBS can answer almost any Porsche-related question in short order. It's like tech support for your car.

Before I knew about Pelican Parts I was a lonely guy driving a 1980 Chevy Citation. Now that I have online access to Pelican Parts not only do I drive a Porsche 911 and get the ladies, but certain parts of me have increased in both length and girth!

"Parts mean little to nothing without the expertise to install and use them safely. Pelican expertly provides this critical piece in the puzzle with technical articles and an online BBS that is both entertaining and highly informative."

"My 1962 356B Porsche had a terrible overheating problem. I called the friendly folks at Pelican Parts, and they knew just what I needed. Next day, at 8:15 am (sharp), the brown truck arrived with a Cool Collar. It didn't even fit the 356 at all, but I sold it to a guy with a 3.2 Carrera for twice the price. Thank you Pelican!"

"Pelican Parts just plain flat-out kicks ass. Without them I'd still be wearing my gold chains and keeping the top three buttons of my shirt undone so my chest hair shows. Now small children everywhere are spared this travesty and can appreciate my 911 the way it's meant to be."

Anyone want to buy any of the parts I've gotten from Pelican that didn't fit my car even though the catalog said it would for twice the price?

Copy of an e-mail I sent to Pelican after a positve experience...Kind of long, so feel free to edit...

Hi, Wayne;
I just wanted to take a moment and relate my overwhelmingly positive
experience with Pelican Parts; Jared in particular. I am one of the many who constantly peruse the 911 Technical BBS; and when the dealer quoted me $700.00 to replace the front pads and rotors on my wife's BMW 325, I decided to use your services for the first time.

Steered in Jared's direction by another Pelican staff member, Javier (who had earlier answered a question of mine from the BMW BBS regarding tank senders), I related my situation via e-mail and asked for both the parts required and any advice on installing them. Jared went out of his way to get the parts from your supplier so that I could pick them up the same day (as I was in the area), and provided me with full instructions on how to make the change.

Never having worked on a BMW before, I had some difficulty in doing the work last night and sent an e-mail to Jared this morning outlining the problem. He responded immediately, showed genuine concern, and was again incredibly helpful in offering advice to rectify the situation.

I work for the largest and most well respected design firm in the world, and sit on a number of leadership committees; we recently retained the services of a branding and positioning specialist to help streamline our market message. Of what relevance is this? Simple. The overwhelming advice offered by the brand consultant was this; "Use the opportunity to make a positive impression at every contact with the client". My experience with Pelican exactly mirrors this. From the Technical BBS's, the clear and concise on-line catalogs, to most importantly a staff that goes beyond the normal expectations of a "parts supplier", Pelican Parts really does things the "right way".

Again, I want to thank you, Jared, and the rest of the staff at Pelican; you definitely earned my respect and continued business.

Sincerely,

Matthew Graninger

Not only do they have the best service and knowledgable sales people in the business, the technical part of their website has articles detailing installation for many of their parts. This is the ideal place for a Do It Yourselfer!

Parts can rarely be found for lower prices, and the service has always been fine.

"Best source for 914 parts around. Inside sales guys Darren and Steve both drive 914's and know them well. Owner Wayne also drives a 914. It's a pleasure to deal with such knowledgeable folks." --Milt Becker, Pelican customer since 2001.
