What color should this be....

Anybody know this color code?

114-9-1

This number is punched on the plate on the drivers side above the door stop and light switch.

The car is yellow / orange .... looks change in different light conditions. Underside of hood and trunk space appears to be a bit brighter shade of yellow. Not sure if this is because the paint is very old, or a bad respray.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

114 is listed as "Signal Yellow", at least for the 70 - 73 early cars.

Thanks Sman & HockeyFan

I've been asked what color the car is several times, but wasn't able to give a "straight" answer. I'm assuming there is a nice book out there somewhere that has all this information.

The "Project 911" thread got my head churning. That is a pretty car... I'm just not really into making a car look like something it's not.

Your feedback is greatly appreciated.

BTW ... my Optima took a nice charge and didn't explode. She started right up this morning. I'm on vacation, and decided to get her out for a bit. Before the Dallas rush hour traffic got too crazy.
