At any RPM, even idle, it sounds like freedom...
|
at idle it sounds like a dragster at the starting line...then at 3k it's actually pretty tame and sounds almost normal, above 4k it's louder than a 2003 GT3 Cup car! I must say that it's crazy loud at 6k rpm! I LOVE IT!:D

See Superman's comments. I concur. Did he mention loud?!?!?

What is the "triad" superman talks about - sounds noisy http://www.pelicanparts.com/support/smileys/drummer.gif |
The Triad is a customized muffler. It comes as a dual-in single out or dual out. There is also a track Triad muffler.
They're handmade to order in Washington State which allows various applications. Dave, who owns Triad (I forget his last name), is very accomodating to one's need. I bought the "concourse" Triad dual-out muffler, which has the right-side pipe bent downward, so one does not have to cut the valance. It is a light, well constructed and sounds terrific. It isn't too loud - in fact, it is street legal in all 50 states as far as decibels go. I don't know how much hp it added to my exhaust, but its addition was definitely improved over the Bursch I had before. I'd supply a link to the website, but unfortunately I can never find it when doing a Google search. Maybe someone else can offer that. Oh, I won't talk about the price of the Triad, either. Let's just say it makes the other exhaust systems look ridiculously high. |
Thanks - I will try and do a search and see what I come up with

The website is www.triadwestperformance.com. I find it a little on the loud side below about 3000rpm. But I also put 70 miles on my car everyday. On the track it sounds unbelievable.

Hmmm, seems my link does not work but if I type it into my browser it does work?!?!?!

Yes, mine resonates a bit below 3,000. It's especially apparent since I have no sound deadening.

Mine's stock so...
At idle: Kinda V-dubby, but with a deeper exhaust 2k rpm: Sewing machine/Vacuum cleaner 5k rpm: One pissed off screamin' roar 8k rpm: boom. |
