Value of '71 Targa
I'm having EVIL thoughts. There's a guy at work who's selling this car and says that it needs a new clutch cable, fuel filter and a little body work. Other than that he said it's in great condition and runs very well. He's asking $2,800 for it
 Now I have not yet seen this can (and I'm afraid to look at it as I may get KILLED by my wife), but isnt a running engine worth about that price? Think I could make some $$$ parting it out? Is this like some really crappy year or something?

gawd don't part it out. these guys should be preserved. what kind of body work are we talking here? if i had the space i'd snap that up in one hot minute, restore it, and run that (edit: female dog). wait i do have the space. why don't you email me his number...please!!!
