RSR gas tank strap mounting??

The early RSRs came with 100 liter plastic tanks that were held in with a strap across the upper section. anyone have pictures of the hold downs on each end? These are different than the RS- which had them on the upper trunk floor
Thanks!

Dave,

As you know, this is gonna' be a tough one. I'll check through some of my photos tonight to see if I have this detail. Most of the cars I have dealt with have been converted to fuel cells. In the meantime, this is close as I can get for pictures.

Good luck.

Cheers, Chris

Why did the RSR's have 2 fuel pumps? Were they in-line? I mean, did one pump from the tank to the other pump to the motor?

Dave the tank was mounted in my car similiar to the pictures, with the strap in the middle, but rigged with 12 inch threaded rods screwed into welded tabs on the side, with all broke into pieces when disassmbled! Apparantly the strap was correct, but not sure how the straps connect to the body.

its a tough one to figure out- almost no one has pix of these holdowns. i would like to get it right
Re: the fuel pumps- they were mounted in series so volume was always constant and i imagine if one failed the other could keep the car in competition

thanks
