What style of brake calipers do I have.

I need to order brake caliper rebuild kits and brake pads. I looked on Pelican and became confused of what I need . There was "S" , "M" , and " Steal A" How can I tell which ones I need? The car has factory calipers, 77 911s Thanks Rick

Probably "A" calipers in front. Not likely to be the non-magnetic alloy "S" calipers with steel lines connecting the two halves (but one never knows). Both M's and A's are steel. A's have 3.5-inch mounting hole centers, M's are more narrow center to center (I believe 3-inches). Search for "Ultimate M-caliper or A-caliper" for pics. Edit (add): I like the 27230! Why aren't you a Gruppe B'er!?! | ||

Thanks Souk I have seen a lot of talk about the "Gruppe B" on this BBS but have not had a chance to find out what it is all about. I have been working just about every night after work to get this conversion completed and back on the road. Once thats done then I will be able to enjoy the ride and maybe even find out what Gruppe B is. I started this project on Thanksgiving day last year. I installed the rebuilt motor about 3 weeks ago and now I'm just trying to get all of the bugs out. I'ts running like crap. I know it will take time but I'll stick with it. I know others like your self and Ben (MB911) have completed it with great results. Tell me about Gruppe B Rick
