modified stock front valence

I have a 1983-911SC and I have a passenger front oil cooler with fan,it works great but in the quest to keep things cool I am thinking about possibly cutting some openings in the stock valence and ducting some air to the cooler and maybe the brakes, any advice or pics of what some of you guys have done would be appreciated.I have the stock fog lights and could remove those if needed. Thanks in advance.

i too have been thinking of doing this but have been hesident to cut into the valence. i did find so intakes that would work well from I.O. Port racing supply. they are like 5"x9 1/2" at the edge and require a 3"x 7 1/2" cut out.

if you remove the fog lights you will notice that there is an area that is flat and would be condusive to cutting and having the duct intake fit nice and flat. the location for the cut out is limited to to the convex nature of the valence. if you cut in the rounded/convex area you would have a hard time getting something to sit flush on the surface.

I have seen a front bumper that has been milled or cut out more from the underside to allow more air to enter

If you want to keep your stock valence unmolested, just get a used Carrera valence with the fog holes already there. You should be able to find one on eBay for less than $100. Then get the I/O Port ducts and you'll be in business.
